HOW YOU CAN HELP:

There are a few simple ways you can support this fundraiser and the wildlife organisations it exists to help.

1. Purchase the Fundraiser Cookie Edition

Each WIRES Fundraiser Cookie Edition has been created as a small, meaningful way to give back.

All profit from these editions is donated directly to WIRES Wildlife Rescue to support emergency rescue, medical care, and rehabilitation of native wildlife.

2. Share the Story

Even if purchasing isn’t possible, sharing this page helps raise awareness.

Wildlife rescue relies not only on funding, but on community understanding and support.

3. Donate Directly to WIRES

If you’d prefer to contribute directly, you can donate via the official WIRES website.

Every donation — large or small — helps support their ongoing work across Australia.

The Artist behind the Fundraiser

This artwork was created by Makayla, an Australian artist with a long-standing connection to wildlife care and conservation. Through years of hands-on involvement in wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, Makayla has seen firsthand the care, skill, and compassion required to support injured native animals. This artwork was created with the intention of giving back, using creativity to help ensure that animals who need care continue to receive it. All proceeds from this artwork are donated to WIRES (Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service), a leading Australian wildlife rescue organisation. These funds help support rescue, medical care, and rehabilitation for native animals across Australia — including those affected by the current bushfires.

This fundraiser is independently organised by Suga Painters. All profit from each WIRES Fundraising Cookie Edition is donated directly to WIRES Wildlife Rescue to support their rescue, medical care, and rehabilitation work.

This Cookie Edition is a small but tangible way to give back — supporting the organisations that continue this work every day.

WIRES Wildlife Rescue is Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation, providing emergency rescue, rehabilitation, and care for native animals in need. Their work supports injured, orphaned, and displaced wildlife across the country.
